Artiology aims to bring creative activities to children
On offer is an exciting range of creative activities that are fun and entertaining for your child. These activities are perfect for birthday parties, sleepover entertainment, fun holiday activities, individual skill building and community group workshops.
All creative activities on offer are suitable for children 8 years and upwards and T-shirt painting is on offer to children aged 6 years and upwards. Please look at the individual activities for further information.
All you have to do is select what type of activity you need and I will come to your home, community centre or any other venue of your choice.
About Me
I was born in Whitby and have lived in and around Whitby for most of my life.
I have always painted and created things and have exhibited in the local area with Whitby Art Net. Being creative is my passion and I especially like to paint in abstract using vibrant colour and texture on large scale pieces.
I spend most of my spare time either painting or making things as I like to test my creative skills. When I’m not creating I like to walk along the many lovely beaches in the Whitby area. These beaches have provided me with the inspiration and some of the materials I have used to make some of my pieces.
Being creative seems to be a family activity and myself and my 4 daughters often spend time together working on creative projects.
Prior to setting up this business I worked as an Occupational Therapist within the mental health services in Scarborough and Middlesbrough. Whilst working in these areas I have worked with many different people, cultures and needs. I have planned and implemented one to one and group work in both creative and therapeutic activities, and have experience in planning and working through a large creative project for an 'art piece' to celebrate the opening of Cross Lane Hospital.
I really enjoy working with children and like to see them enjoying creative activities, so also offer creative workshops, tuition and parties. Being creative builds many skills within a child and can be a real confidence boost when they take their creation home and show it off.
